Gifted and Talented

Pike County offers gifted education services for identified students across all grade levels. 704 KAR 3:285.
 

Primary students (Grades K-3) are screened and selected as "high potential learners" for the primary talent pool.

students in grades 4-12 are formally identified for services in one or more of the following areas:

  1. general intellectual aptitude 
  2. specific academic aptitude in the areas of language arts, math, Science, or social studies)
  3. creative or divergent thinking
  4. psychosocial or leadership skills
  5. visual or performing arts
