NO in-person classes held until at least September 28, 2020

As part of Governor Beshear’s recommendation on August 10th there will be NO in-person classes held in the Pike County School District until at least September 28, 2020 or when permitted to do so. However, ALL classes will be delivered online (virtually) to Pike County students beginning on August 26, 2020.   We have purchased materials, devices, and an online learning management system (Canvas) that enable us to offer the best education possible for our students under these circumstances. Decisions concerning the opening of school have been difficult as the data and recommendations have been constantly changing.   The safety of our students is always our top priority.  We understand the challenges that this decision will create and hope to work with each family to accommodate any needs that arise.

Our district will continue doing enrollment for all students by use of the Infinite Campus Parent Portal this year. Visit the link below to learn how to start the new On Line Registration process: https://www.pike.kyschools.us/Content2/olr.  You may also check your child’s school Facebook or webpage for additional information.

We are looking forward to a time when our students can safely return into our buildings and be back together again!  Until then, our staff will work diligently to provide a quality virtual experience for the children of Pike County.   If you have any needs or concerns, please contact your child’s school for specific information concerning their Virtual Learning Program.

Thank you for continuing to be flexible and understanding.  Your patience is greatly appreciated.
