Pike County Schools Summer Meals Program Begins

Pike County Schools

Summer Meals Schedule

May 14, 2020

As the school year has now ended the Pike County Food Service Program moves into the Summer Meals Program. Usually we are enjoying our time providing meals to our children through many local churches, community organizations, and school sites.

As this process is not possible during this time of limited gathering due to COVID-19, Pike County Food Service is going to open 6 sites on a week-to-week basis continuing Thursday, May 21, May 28, June 4, and June 11 from 9:30-2:00 to serve meals as we have been doing during the past 8 weeks.  The sites to pick up meals are as follows:

Belfry High School, Johns Creek Elementary, Phelps Elementary, Valley Elementary, Millard School, and East Ridge High School.

**Please note that Summer Meals Program DOES NOT include DELIVERY. If you have been receiving delivered meals from Food Service through the School Transportation Department, you will now need to come pick them up at the school nearest to your home.**

With less sites open, it is essential that everyone please limit your visit to the site closest to your home and not wait until closing time to arrive for your meals.  Also, You must bring your children with you to receive meals. The process will remain the same for safety.  We thank you in advance for helping us to be able to serve you as safely and quickly as possible.

We look forward to serving our children through this program as long as food supply and workers are available through June 11.  We will update the website weekly.
