Phone Book

On Friday, May 12, 2017, representatives from the Pike County Solid Waste, Pike County School System, and the PRIDE program gathered at the Johns Creek landfill. Betty Brown presented Bevins Elementary with a $500 check for winning the PRIDE / AT&T phone book recycling contest. Students and staff from Bevins collected 2,009 phone books for this year’s contest. Also pictured are representatives from Feds Creek and Valley Elementary Schools. Feds Creek was the second place winner in the contest collecting 493 phone books and Valley Elementary was third place collecting 299 phone books.

Pictured is a photo of all those present at the check presentation. Also, attached is a photo of some students turning in phone books to our custodian, Russell Harrison, during the school collection contest at Bevins Elementary. Russell spearheads the contest each year at Bevins Elementary.
